<_Null> Undoubtably, any specifics?
[11:22] <[pheible]> We wish to create an atmosphere of persevearance, and respect that all other posts will look to for guidance.

[11:23] <Kermit> increase membership through campaigning at schools, train post presidents to better their posts, incorporating service activities as well as high adventure fun.
[11:23] <[pheible]> we want to shape the future of exploring in ohio

[11:24] <Cyanide> I think we should focus on not maintaing things so ritualistically, i.e. not by ranks and stuff
[11:24] <[pheible]> we wish to create things that were only dreamed of as possible
[11:24] <Cyanide> focus on the teamwork ideas and stuff

[11:25] <Kermit> I think 4 of us can get a lot more done as a group
<_Null> Will you still look for heavy emphisis on community service? Thats extremely important to me.

[11:26] <Cyanide> I want to promote activity within posts, get the members active, and them to go to the eoa meetings, get them to go on the activites, etc...
[11:26] <[pheible]> I believe that through hard work and team work not only is anything possible, but it's probable too.
[11:26] <[pheible]> Yes. I would like to organize many activites including, butnot limited to:
[11:27] <Cyanide> I can remember, especially from the compuserve post, that we never really did anything, we just wanted to account.... that is mainly why it suck'd! we had an average of 20-30 people show up, and about 70 or so were enrolled if I remember correctly
[11:27] <Kermit> I thought Mr. Corder sp? suggestion of renovating the campground, using all of the explorers resources was a great idea.
[11:27] <[pheible]> cleaning up parks, helping people in need, and donating time to the community in whatever that the would like.
<_Null> Yeah, but we would need a lot of help from all the posts. I was there. Its facilities are a wreck.
[11:28] <Cyanide> that should probably be one of the topics of everyone, to regain access to unused resources, and make them a fun place again
[11:28] <[pheible]> Yes.... but we wish to work on envolvement of all the posts.
[11:28] <Cyanide> well, then we need to get all the posts to work on them
[11:29] <Cyanide> I can see a lot of great things, but without us making the posts aware, and get the officers of each post highly involved, there will never be any gain from just OUR ideas
[11:29] <Kermit> Maybe we could take a few weekends, (months) to clean it up, use some engineering/high adventure people to build a high ropes course, and then throw a big party
[11:29] <[pheible]> I also believe tha the council posts should all get together in a jamboree too.
[11:30] <Cyanide> btw, I plan to post the text from our conversation online in web page format, just to throw that out
[11:30] <Kermit> That's why I think leadership training is SO important. The stronger the post president, the stonger the post.
[11:30] <Cyanide> I agree, that would be great!
[11:31] <[pheible]> and the stronger the posts the stronger the council
[11:31] <Kermit> and the stronger the council, the stronger the Explorers program as a whole
[11:32] <Kermit> okay, so does everyone have a good idea of what they're saying?

[11:32] <Cyanide> I think annother main focus is to force high involvment of the officers of each post
<_Null> First objective instead of overall goals.
<_Null> Should we get all the Post Presidents with the EOA, and the EOA can discuss and present their ideas?
<_Null> As well as receive input from the Presidents?
[11:33] <[pheible]> I believe that every post should have at least one representative at the eoa meetings....that will be important
[11:34] <[pheible]> possibly
[11:34] <Kermit> I think all of the Post Presidents should have the opportunity to present concerns or comments at every meeting. That way posts would be able to exchange ways to increase membership, as well as successful high adventure activities
[11:35] <[pheible]> everyone that shows up at the meetings *should* have a voice.
