Silver STWA

Silver Silver is A Great website with an extremely easy, nice and neat navigation interface. Very fast loading pages. A moderate amount of content. Ways to contact the Troop, Webmaster, Scouts, etc. Moderate amount of Scouting related links. Possibly 2 styles of viewing the site (i.e., one for people with fast computers and new browsers; one for people with slow and older browsers). This is our PRESTIGE award! STWA does not give many bonus points for having Java Scripts/applets, music, or forms/CGI scripts on your site, since some users may not be able to use them and they take a long time to load on your visitor's computers. Required:

• Must have a valid contact e-mail address.
• The site should make Youth and Adults want to find a unit in their area.
• The site should be useful to its Scouters.
• The site should be useful to Scouters of its country.
• The site should have photos of youth in action.
• The site should have a way to contact the webmaster.
• The site should have unique content.
• The site should provide useful information to for units in its country.
• The site should have a way to contact the adult leaders.
• The site should have a map to the location of the meetings.
• The site should have a calendar of events, past and present.
• The site should have a site map.
• The site should want to make the Youth and Adults want to come back to your page again.

Suggested:

• The site should have a site map.
• The site should have information on advancement for its country.
• The site should have information usful to Scouting units in other countires.

Negatives

• The site is mostly links to other sites.
• The site can only be viewed with one browser.
• The site can only be viewed "certain" software.
